I am a BACP registered, psychosynthesis counsellor working in Dalston, London.
I draw from my experience with a number of therapeutic approaches in response to each individual with unique life circumstances and problems which they are facing.
You may well have experienced more than your share of ups and downs on your life journey. Life can take its toll physically and emotionally, sometimes we end up feeling lost and finding our path can seem like an impossible task.
Perhaps you could do with some help in addressing what concerns you. This is where a counsellor with life experience and the right training can prove to be a useful ally.
Psychosynthesis offers a holistic way of working, including all the parts of ourselves – mind, heart, body and possibly any spiritual beliefs or practices you may follow.
My specific area of interest is relationships, both with other people in our lives and also with ourselves. People I work with are often aware of an internal, critical part of themselves and be inclined to “beat themselves up”, even over the small stuff. Self-esteem is one of my key areas of focus, working on negative feelings such as emptiness, worthlessness, wrongness, lack of motivation and procrastination. I’m also interested in issues around gender, sexuality and the concepts of masculinity and femininity.
Naturally, as a counsellor, I’m interested in consciousness and self-awareness, including non-ordinary states of consciousness. Clients often find it fruitful to work with their dreams, symbolism, drawing, active imagination, journaling, the chakras or meditation, and we could try one or more of these if they resonate with you.
I adhere to the code of ethics and principles for approved professional practice and receive regular clinical supervision for my client work and I am professionally insured to practice.
